We create users for doc-link if the employee is brand new.

If the employee is existing and just needs doc-link downloaded, 
they will normally already have a login. 

1. Check to see if it is installed on the computer
if it is you will find it in
C:\Program Files (x86)\Altec\AppLauncher
Altec.AppLauncher.exe

If it is not there then move on to step #2

Create a Shortcut on the desktop for that
then Rename it to "Doc-Link Smart Client"

Then move on to step 3



2. You have to Log in as ADMIN on that computer

Run Doc-link.exe

Install Products

Smart Client Application Launcher

If you incounter a C++ issue please run vcredist_x86.exe in the same folder
Then rerun the Smart Client Application Launcher

log back into the normal user

Then move on to step 3

3. Remote into PMG-APPSQL
log into ITS
Run from the Desktop: administrator.shortcut
Login

Select "all users"
Click "New" in the top left.
Next
Login Id: First initial and last name no space
Full Name: Users Full name
Description: ask Jo anna for this

Put in the users email address and open outlook.
then if you want you can add yourself to the email "To" box.
then send out the email.

go back to Doc-link administrator and click next.

Roles: If jo anna said that this user needs the same thing as another user then you will copy what they have.(if she doesnt then you will need to ask her what roles they need) click "next" for now.

yes send email to user.

open the user that jo anna said to copy and look under "member of" and copy what is there to the one that you just created. (or add the info that you got from Jo anna)

Move on to step 4

Look in the users email to get the login info.
